As well as providing a local bus service for people with restricted mobility, ReadiBus also runs a programme of excursions and day trips.
Closer destinations may include Basingstoke, Abingdon, Hungerford and Marlborough while longer trips may include shopping and seaside venues such as Littlehampton, Southsea, Lymington, Poole, Weston Super Mare, Bournemouth and Christchurch. There are also concert and theatre trips to The Hexagon in Reading and occasional special trips, such as to The London Eye and Longleat Safari Park.
The standard of care and attention on these trips is the same as on the local ReadiBus service and indeed the same buses are used. On the day, you are picked up and dropped off at home. Lunches are leisurely and on most excursions there’s at least 3 hours to explore and enjoy yourself.
There is a fare to pay but if you would not be able to go on an excursion without financial assistance, there may be some help available.
